The Best Tourism Village by UN Tourism is a prestigious global initiative that highlights villages where tourism plays a key role in preserving culture and traditions, celebrating diversity, providing opportunities, and safeguarding biodiversity. Launched in 2021, this initiative serves as an important platform for India to showcase its commitment to sustainable rural tourism. The Ministry of Tourism is inviting entries from across India for the 2025 edition of the above initiative. Villages that exemplify sustainability, cultural preservation, and community engagement are encouraged to participate through their respective State/UT Tourism Departments.
